Speakers Bureau

The people listed below have offered to be available to speak at your club meetings via Zoom or other streaming platform to share about the many different topics listed. Use the drop-down list below, to select the speaker you would like to invite to one of your meetings. Include amount of time you would like for the presentation, possible dates and time, and your contact information. Some are also able to meet in person. Just ask.

Ann Penner: Ann is a longtime supporter of one of our District Service Projects. SIGN Fracture Care is restoring limbs and livelihoods around the world. Ann is also the District Administrator of Circle K, our Service Leadership Program for college students. She also works with the Canadian Foundation.

Brian Egger: Brian is the Key Club Administrator and can connect you to speakers about Key Club and all the wonderful things they are doing. There are also many Key Clubs looking for sponsors.

Gail Spurrell: Pacific Northwest Kiwanis Foundation. Learn about grants available for your club, projects/scholarships that have been supported, and how you can be part of the plan.

Greg Holland (Past Governor): Learn how the Canadian Kiwanis Foundation provides grants and support to Kiwanis clubs in Canada. Greg is also Chair of the District Finance Committee and can share about how the district is funded.

Greg Wegrich (Past Governor): Chair of the Membership Committee and speak to club openings, membership growth and retention.

Jackie Sue McFarlin (KI Trustee/Past Governor): Learn about Aktion Clubs and how you can start one in your community. Jackie Sue is also a Kiwanis International Trustee and can share about Kiwanis International. She is also an active member on our Membership committee with lots of ideas to share.

Jerry Deas (Past Governor): Jerry is very experienced at all levels of Kiwanis and is currently a District Chair for the Kiwanis Children’s Fund. He is an engaging and educational presenter you will enjoy.

John Brookens: Kiwanis Children’s Cancer Program. Learn about sponsored fellowships funded by donations from Kiwanis and the research being done to find a cure for children’s cancer. He also can talk about Kiwanis International projects.

John Flaherty: John can cover many topics, Save Old Spectacles (collection of used eyeglasses for low-income people), Kiwanis Children’s Cancer Program, Mt. Hook Kiwanis Camp, Medicare and Kiwanis International Projects.

Lonnie Johnson (Past Governor): Lonnie is a versatile speaker. He can talk about Service Leadership Programs, club strengthening, and Kiwanis Children’s Cancer Programs.

Mike Frucci: Mike will teach you all about the Kiwanis Children’s Fund and what it can do for your clubs and is also very knowledgable about the PNW Kiwanis Foundation as well. The Kiwanis Children’s Fund’s mission is to develop resources that transform the goodwill and vision of Kiwanians into programs that serve the children of the world.

Nicholas Hafez (Governor): Can provide a presentation on general District level happenings.

Vicki Frucci (Governor Elect): Chair for Youth Protection and Training. She can address any of these topics as well as membership.
